Nothing better than be a diabetes patient myself - 20
Recently, I have met a number of friends and many gave some advices about my case. Although these were nothing new and almost identical, yet I do appreciate their good intention.
However, this would lead to problem. If someone has diabetes and lack of the full knowledge and confidence, he/she might have only one choice because almost everyone is telling the same thing and possibly from the same source.
Even though I have spent years on books, magazines and articles about health and medication, I never give advice like that. Everyone has a different body, different health condition, different ways of living, it is not possible to have a single way of treatment.
Same as what I told in the posting of November 15, 2007 about my Jaundice what I was 19; no one would know better than I did about that problem.
Nowadays, thanks to the Internet, it is so easy to gather information. Any search may be completed in a day instead of some months in the old days. Unfortunately, we must have the basic knowledge before sorting out the overflow information which most is not right at all. If we read one message and suppose it is the truth, then we may better know nothing. Years ago, I might believe some professionals. Now I know that is not worth trust at all.
For weeks, my tests remained with one plus. The appearance of the last test strip told me that the reading will be down soon. My attention now is the numbness and the blur eye sight.
The reality is that when you are old, the reaction to medication is poor in comparison to the younger days. I remember that my body recovered quite fast with a few doses of Chinese medicine years ago. Now, I feel that when one part gets better, the other part will be affected slightly. That means I cannot force out the bad substance completely. Of course, I have the patience to wait for full recovery and certainly quick fix is not good for old age.
