Nothing better than be a diabetes patient myself - 17

I have not written here for almost two weeks because of work.

During the Chinese New Year, I had a lot of food and most are said to be not good for diabetes patients.

However, my two tests for the two weeks remained at one plus. Of course, no test had been taken during the holidays. But I believe that the maximum would be two plus.

As mentioned, I trust that it is better to change my diet gradually. For the two weeks, if I had to take my lunch outside, I tried to take green bean thread noodles instead of rice or other noodles. This may be helpful because green bean is good for diabetes.

I did not avoid drinking beer, red or white wine. It should be the quantity that I have to take care of. One or two glasses would not be harmful at all.

Perhaps the most important thing is to keep the treatment continuously. Medicine should be helpful but we should not rely on it only especially for old guy like me.

Recently, the numbness remains obvious especially during the cold nights. According to information, the diabetes may affect our hearts. I think that it is the same cause instead. When our bodies fail to function properly, it should affect some of our organs. That is why finding the exact cause is very important. For my case, the unnecessary food consumption may be the major cause.

As usual, some medical articles point to everything from lack of exercise to smoking. That is nothing scientific and not helpful for diabetes treatment. I am not saying drinking, smoking or lack of exercise is good. No, these are some of our bad habits. Unfortunately, all our enjoyment is bad. If we have to live in misery for hundred years, I prefer to die not too old but happy with some levels of enjoyment. The saying that one's life would be shortened by one or two years is nothing different from lies. Who can predict exactly how old one may live?

I have an aunt who had heart dicease and the doctor declared that she could live for six months, but she died ten years afterward. Some years ago, the doctor found that the stomach of my mother might have cancer and asked us to consider operation, otherwise, my mother would die within six months. She lived six more years without operation or treatment.
