good health

Almost every one of us are born with a healthy body, yet suffers various illness thereafter. It costs very little for our lives to start, but costs greatly for medical care until we pass away. All medical studies, researches and operations are run as business, or perhaps by business. We need them, even though we suffer from illness as well as the bill to recover our bodies. Therefore, I believe that we have treated our bodies in a wrong way so that we must get sick throughout our time.

How long will bird flu stay?

We may worry when bird flu cases are happened in European and African cities. As I have said, we have WHO and efficient communication today, there is no way for bird flu to become epidemic like tens of years before.

Every incident will have full attention and immediate action to stop any spreading.

Perhaps bird flu has been with us for thousands of years. It is only with the modern medical technology that we know about its existence. As told, such type of virus will continue to evolve and may become silent or harmless for a period of years.

If it is so, then any silence does not mean that bird flu would be eliminated. It just goes into another silent period only.

The most important thing is to find out why some people exposed to bird flu and remained healthy or recovered in a short period. Then we can know whether we are immune to bird flu or not. This is much better than giving us some costly thing like Tamiflu.

Is life cheaper than a piece of software?

If there is a bug or a security hole found in software, there are tons of news and articles. Most of us have not suffered anything at all except the fear of being a victim. Even so happened, we may have trouble but not life threatening.

So, according to "Why Doctors So Often Get It Wrong", from 1930 till now, the 'seriously misdiagnose fatal illnesses about 20 percent of the time' in the State.

We may feel lucky not facing such kind of danger. Of course, if we had, we might be dead already. Will doctors care more about how much they can get from our bodies instead?

Recently, there is a report about the failure of price reduction for medicine in China. The Chinese Government had ordered the lowering of price for about twenty medicines so that more people can afford to pay. However, these medicines were not recommended by many doctors leading to a downfall of about 30%. The reason is obvious. Doctors are employed by hospital and hosipital need to earn more. Cheap medicine will not be profitable.

I must say again. We must find a way to keep our health and avoid any medication.

Another report turning down what is believed to be good.

According to Big Study Finds No Clear Benefit of Calcium Pills, the calcium and vitamin D supplements failed to give what has been expected for women over 50.

The problem is not just a case, but many such type of claim had never been proved by similar studies. We may ask why doctors could recommend anything that lack sound proof. Did they forget that they were handling human, not mice or robots?

Even if there is no harm in taking the ineffective medicine, we might be better off with something other than the suggestion, not to say any loss in finance.

If such way continues, perhaps we shall prefer a computer to act as our medical sources. It can read 'advertisement' content and makes suggestion in the same way as doctors did. It can be programmed to read all medical tests. Of course, we may worry whether the programmer would receive any sponsorship and give priority to some unproved medicine. The solution may be simple. These Doctor Computers, perhaps great to name it 'iDoctor', can be monitored by indepent medical professors.

May be by giving a few billions can make this a reality and the burden of medical expenses may be solved.

Diet suggestion is wrong again

Can we trust those advices about what we should eat for health? Are such advice based on scientific proof?

According to the latest info, "Low-Fat Diet Does Not Cut Health Risks, Study Finds", a $415 million federal study with about 49,000 women ages 50 to 79 for a period of eight years, low-fat diet has no protection against cancer. Therefore, for those who suffer so much, there is nothing good at all.

This is a difficult problem. Some may argue about the findings, especially those involved with diet business.

I believe that the reason is the basic assumption of the causes of cancer. As I have pointed out, science must be based on facts, not fallacies. Unfortunately, lots of so called specialists are lack of such attitude. The simple fact may be, they have done nothing themselves other than followed others' suggestion. Of course, it is always good to blame on something instead of their shortcoming in medication.

Science has been polluted by money. Any findings that might generate huge earning would be taken as opportunities for investment. How unfortunate we are?

The result of this finding may soon be forgotten because the health industries can 'pay' to make this type of information disappeared or forgotten.

Unless most of us have a better understanding of health, there is no way to avoid being fooled by those who we trusted.

"God helps those who help themselves." Perhaps, we can say, "specialist fools those who fool themselves." Therefore, the problem is entirely about us, not those specialists who earn dollars from fooling us.

If we can find how many health specialists and doctors have cancer, then it would be easy to prove that what they said was rubbish. Of course, no government or any organisation will give us this information. Hey, did they said that we had the right to know the truth?
